Samal Tzvi Fridlender served in the Israel Defense Forces. Tzvi served with the Infantry. Tzvi was 23 years old.
בן יוסף ואילנה. נולד ביום ז' בשבט תרפ"ו (22.1.1926) בעיר למזאובריש שבהונגריה. סיים את לימודיו בבית-ספר תיכון בעיר-מולדתו. עלה לארץ בשנת 1946. היה חבר ה"הגנה" מאז בואו לארץ. היה בין ראשוני הצנחנים בצה"ל. נפל בשעת מילוי תפקידו ביום כ"ג במרחשון תש"י (15.11.1949) והובא למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי בנחלת-יצחק. בעלות ההורים לארץ בשנת 1949 לא מצאוהו בחיים. זכרו הועלה בספרו של אורי מילשטיין, "מלחמות הצנחנים".
