What Happened

Deputy Sharra was killed when his cruiser ran off a roadway and into a ditch. He and a ride along explorer were responding to another deputy’s request for back-up. The farm road that Deputy Sharra was driving down made a sudden ninety-degree turn without any warning signs. The patrol cruiser left the roadway and struck an embankment. Deputy Sharra was killed instantly. The explorer was injured but able to radio for assistance.
