NYPD World Trade Center Memorial Wall
In the Hall of Heroes, the lobby of police headquarters at One Police Plaza, in the room where the names of the department fallen have been set in stone since 1849. It carries members of the New York City Police Department who worked the pile at Ground Zero in the months after the attack and later died of the illnesses they got there. 469 names were added at the unveiling on 9 September 2026, the twenty-fifth anniversary year.
