FDNY WTC Retired Responders Memorial Wall
At FDNY Headquarters in Brooklyn, standing directly across from the World Trade Center Memorial Wall. It carries members who had already retired on 11 September 2001, came back anyway, and later died of the illnesses they got in the rescue and recovery. The wall across the hall was only ever for those on active duty, so these men and women were left off it for twenty-five years. Unveiled on 12 June 2026.
