Their life
Lieutenant Vincent Caruana died as a result of cancer that he developed following his assignment to the search and recovery efforts at the World Trade Center site following the 9/11 Terrorist Attacks.
Lieutenant Caruana was a United States Army veteran and had served with the New York City Police Department for 20 years, assigned to the 68th Precinct.
Survived by
Survivors include his wife, four children, and three grandchildren.
