An asset forfeiture specialist for the Drug Enforcement Administration, Shelly Bland, 25, was devoted to her daughter, Jordan Elizabeth, Gary Bland said. “One of her greatest qualities was that she was a wonderful mother,” Gary Bland said. “She loved her little girl very much.” Gary Bland said Shelly’s “best friends” were her family, especially her mother, her sister and her aunt. “She loved the family. She was family-oriented,” Bland said. Shelly and Gary Bland had been married for less than a year. They were wed on June 3, 1994.
