badge.nw↗Lieutenant Robert Cirri was killed in the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks while attempting to rescue the victims trapped in the World Trade Center.
The lieutenant was an instructor at the Port Authority Police Academy and had responded to the scene from Jersey City, New Jersey. He and four other officers were attempting to carry a woman to safety when the North Tower collapsed.
Lieutenant Cirri served with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Police Department for 15 years.
You went in while everyone else was coming out.
