Their life
Sergeant Tony Candia died as the result of cancer that he developed following his assignment to the search and recovery efforts at the World Trade Center site following the 9/11 Terrorist Attacks.
Sergeant Candia was a United States Army and Army Reserve veteran and had served with the New York City Police Department for 20 years.
Survived by
He is survived by his wife, three children, three stepchildren, three grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren, and five cousins who also served in law enforcement.
