Their life

Lieutenant Paul W. Deo Jr., age 74, of the Fire Department City of New York – Engine 317, died on February 7, 2020, from illness related to response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. Originally from Queens, he moved to Ronkonkoma, where he raised his family. He was a Vietnam veteran who served with the U.S. Marine Corps. He served with the New York City Fire Department for 33 years. His son, brother, and nephew also served as firefighters.

How they died

Lieutenant of the Fire Department of the City of New York, who died of an illness from the rescue and recovery at the World Trade Center. The department added the name to its World Trade Center Memorial Wall at the ceremony of 09 September 2020. He died on 07 February 2020, aged 74.
