Sergeant Kathleen Radziunas died as a result of cancer that she developed following her assignment to provide transportation to and from the search and recovery efforts at the World Trade Center site following the 9/11 Terrorist Attacks.

Sergeant Radziunas had served with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority Police Department for 20 years. Survivors include her husband. two sons, a daughter, parents, two brothers, and a nephew.

You walked into it and it took years to finish the job.
Sergeant Radziunas gave the Metropolitan Transportation Authority Police Department 20 years.
Thank you for your service to the New York community. Gone but never to be forgotten.
