Sergeant First Class, United States Army, retired - and a sailor before that. He served in both the Navy and the Army and did two tours in Vietnam.

Afterwards he worked as an administrative assistant for the Department of Defense Information Management Support Center.

He belonged to the Moose Lodge at Manassas for thirteen years and served it as Governor, Junior Governor and membership chairman, and the Moose Legion as president and director. He had just been elected Fourth District Secretary of the Virginia Moose Association. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of the American Legion.

He was two days short of his fifty-sixth birthday.

Survived by

His wife Ginger of thirty years, his daughter Tammy, and two grandchildren.
