Known as Jerry. A combat photographer for the Navy between 1979 and 1984, and for the three years before he was killed an engineering contractor at the Pentagon working on video teleconferencing. He studied photojournalism at Oklahoma after Scranton Technical High School.

He coached fast-pitch softball, baseball and power lifting, cooked from a shelf of cookbooks, and fished for trout with his brother Kevin. He had been married eighteen years to Joyce, herself a retired Navy photographer, and they had two children, Shannon and Dane. Kevin's daughter was in one of the towers in New York that same morning and got out before it came down.

His wife Joyce, and their children Shannon and Dane.
