Special Agent Jerry Jobe died as the result of cancer he developed from being exposed to hazardous materials during recovery efforts at the Pentagon following the 9/11 Terrorist Attacks.
Special Agent Jobe had served with the FBI for 11 years. Prior to that, he served 10 years with the El Paso County Sheriff's Department in Colorado. At the time of his death, his father was serving as Sheriff in Custer County, Colorado.
Special Agent Jobe is survived by his wife, two children, father, and other family members.
You walked into it and it took years to finish the job.
Special Agent Jobe gave the United States Department of Justice 21 years.
Thank you for your service. Gone but never to be forgotten.
