Their life
Died two days after being fatally injured when his patrol of two vehicles and seventeen men was ambushed at Ballinlee, near Granard, County Longford. Temporary Cadet Harold Clayton also died on this same day while District Inspector Francis Worthington Craven and Temporary Cadet John A. Houghton both died during the attack on 2nd February.
