badge.nw↗Officer Donald McIntyre was killed in the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks while attempting to rescue the victims trapped in the World Trade Center.
He had been assisting victims evacuate the first tower when the second tower was struck. He immediately went to the second tower and was assisting with evacuating the 32nd floor when the tower collapsed.
Officer McIntyre is survived by his expectant wife and two children.
You went in while everyone else was coming out.
Police Officer McIntyre gave the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Police Department 14 years.
Thank you for your service to the Jersey City community. Gone but never to be forgotten.
