Specialist, United States Army, a multimedia illustrator working under Lieutenant General Timothy Maude - who was killed in the same building the same morning.

He was raised at Anamosa, played high school football and worked in the film and media department there, and took a degree in film studies at Iowa in 1996. He owned a graphic design company called SockoDesign.

He was given the Military Achievement Award by General Ohle in 1999 and qualified as an expert rifleman.

He was twenty-eight.

His wife Amber, his children Charlotte and Elliot, his parents Orland and Karen, his brothers Ryan and Barry, and his grandparents Arthur, Sophia and Marion.
