Corrections Officer V Chris Watson died from complications as the result of contracting COVID-19 while working at the Hodge Correctional Facility at 379 FM 2972 West in Rusk.
Corrections Officer Watson had served with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice - Correctional Institutions Division for 26 years.
