Sergeant Christopher Vidro died as the result of cancer that he developed following rescue efforts at the World Trade Center in the aftermath of the Sept. 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks.
Sergeant Vidro had served with the Montclair State University Police Department for 10 years.
You walked into it and it took years to finish the job.
Sergeant Vidro gave the Montclair State University Police Department 10 years.
Thank you for your service to the Montclair community. Gone but never to be forgotten.
Rest easy, Sergeant Vidro.
