Christopher Lee Castetter

Field Deputy Christopher Castetter was shot and killed after responding to a suspicious vehicle call. The operator of the vehicle had just assaulted his girlfriend and was waiting for her to return home. As Deputy Castetter pulled up the subject opened the door to his patrol car and shot him in the head. The subject was convicted of murder and sentenced to death in June 1999. He was executed by lethal injection on March 17th, 2015. Deputy Castetter had served with the Barry County Sheriff's Office for two years.
