badge.nw↗Sergeant Charles Clark died from lung cancer that he contracted from inhaling toxic materials as he participated in the rescue and recovery efforts at the World Trade Center site following the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.
Sergeant Clark had served with the New York City Police Department for 20 years. He was assigned to Police Service Area 8 in the Bronx.
He is survived by his wife and family.
You walked into it and it took years to finish the job.
Sergeant Clark gave the New York City Police Department 20 years.
Thank you for your service to the New York community. Gone but never to be forgotten.
