Parole Officer I Brenda LaFaso died from complications as the result of contracting COVID-19 in the line of duty.
Officer LaFaso had served with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice - Parole Division for three years and was assigned to the Beaumont District Parole Office.

She was survived by her husband, two sons, a daughter, and three grandchildren.
