Battalion Chief Arthur S. Lakiotes, age 75, of the Fire Department City of New York - Battalion 32, died on October 23, 2021, from illness related to response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. He was born on August 27, 1946, in Brooklyn, New York, the son of the late Nicholas and the late Nancy (Trupia) Lakiotes. He was the beloved husband of Barbara (Tolson) Lakiotes, the cherished father of Jonathan Lakiotes (Gina Rizzi) and Nicholas Lakiotes (Stacey), dear brother of James Lakiotes, and adored grandfather to Kaitlyn, Zachary, Jack, and Chloe.
How they died
Battalion Chief of the Fire Department of the City of New York, who died of an illness from the rescue and recovery at the World Trade Center. The department added the name to its World Trade Center Memorial Wall at the ceremony of 14 September 2022. He died on 23 October 2021, aged 75.
