What Happened

Officer Eric Wilson was found shot to death in his unmarked car, which was occasionally used to work drug cases, at 11:24 am. It is believed that Officer Wilson knew the person who killed him because his gun was still buckled in its holster, and his hands were at his side. His car was parked in front of his aunt's house and very near the home of the Chief of Police. Officer Wilson was a United States Air Force veteran.

In tribute

I served 1985 to 1993. You served too, before the badge - different uniform, same idea. You go where you are sent and you do not get to pick the call.

Officer Wilson served with the Aberdeen Police Department.

Thank you for your service to the Aberdeen community, and for your service before it. Gone but never to be forgotten.

Rest easy, brother.

— S. Vincent Anthony, U.S. Army 1985-1993
