On April 5th, 1921, Special Agent Cook's service revolver was located in the possession of a man who was shot and killed by officers in North Little Rock as they attempted to serve a warrant on him. The man was wanted for shooting two people in Missouri.
Special Agent Cook had served with the Missouri Pacific Railroad Police Department for two years. He had previously served as night policeman of the Fairfield, Iowa, Police Department and as a guard in an aviation camp during WWI. He was a widower who was survived by several children. In tribute
I served 1985 to 1993. You served too, before the badge - different uniform, same idea. You go where you are sent and you do not get to pick the call.
Special Agent Cook gave the Missouri Pacific Railroad Police Department 2 years.
Thank you for your service to the St. Louis community. Thank you for your service before it. Gone but never to be forgotten.
Rest easy, brother.
