Miguel Javier Maldonado served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Senior Border Patrol Agent Miguel Maldonado was killed in a single-car crash while on patrol on Alton Gloor Road near Brownsville, Texas. He was responding to an emergency when his vehicle crossed the center line, went into a ditch, and flipped over. It is believed that wet road conditions contributed to the accident. I served 1985 to 1993. You served too, before the badge - different uniform, same idea. You go where you are sent and you do not get to pick the call.
Senior Border Patrol Agent Maldonado gave the United States Department of Justice 17 years.
Thank you for your service. Gone but never to be forgotten.
Rest easy, brother.
— S. Vincent Anthony, U.S. Army 1985-1993
