For local groups

The facility observation network does not operate yet, so there is nothing to register today. When it opens, the process will start with the facility rather than the camera: which government building you intend to observe, what the declared subject would be, and the hours it would cover. The declared subject is always a facility, never a residence and never a person, whatever street the camera stands on. We are publishing the design before building it so that it can be argued with now, while changing it is still cheap. If you expect to run a site, say so now and we will build against what you actually need.

For agencies

If you operate an ALPR system and want to understand what conformance with the standard would require, write to us. The standard is open and free to implement. We are not selling hardware.

For press and research

The device record is open data. The registry and the map are public and unmetered, with no account, no charge and no conditions on use. The event index belongs to the facility network and does not exist yet. If you need a cut of the record the registry filters do not expose, ask and we will produce it.
