Oslo Gospel Choir

The Oslo Gospel Choir was founded in 1988 and has enjoyed success ever since. Four of our albums won a gold disc and one of the albums a double platina disc. All together the choir have sold more than 1.000.000 units. What binds us together is our desire to preach the Gospel through music.

The Oslo Gospel Choir is conducted by Tore Aas, who compose most of the songs. The group's repertoire also includes traditional American gospel songs.

The people singing in the choir comes from various churches in Oslo. Apart from giving performances in Norway we are making a name for ourselves internationally. We have made a fair number of television appearances. The choir's goal is always the same: to preach the Gospel through music. Our style of music could be compared to black American gospel music. According to Tore Aas the music genre "will never be out of fashion. With its impulsive, dynamic and lively style we can easily compare it to classical music's timelessness. This style of music appeals to many people all over the world".
