Biography
The London Baroque is a British ensemble of baroque music on period instruments, founded in 1978. History: The London Baroque was founded in 1978 in London, England by Charles Medlam, Ingrid Seifert and John Toll. Other musicians joined the group later, such as Richard Gwilt in 1983, Steven Devine in 2007 and Irmgard Schaller. The London Baroque is a regular visitor to the festivals of Salzburg, Edinburgh, Bath, Beaune, Innsbruck, Utrecht and York as well as the Bach festivals of Stuttgart, Ansbach and Lausanne. Over the years, the London Baroque has appeared on television in many countries such as England, France, Germany, Belgium, Austria, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Poland , Brazil, Estonia, Hungary and Japan.
