Le Cat Trong Ly was born and raised in Da Nang, in a family with three singers Le Bang Thanh, mother a literature teacher. In 2005, she graduated from Phan Chau Trinh High School, Da Nang and passed the entrance exam to the Russian language department of the University of Danang. In 2006, while still a student, Ly dropped out and left Da Nang to Ho Chi Minh City. Ly passed the exam to the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, studied viola in the string department and started composing songs. In 2007, Le Cat Trong Ly won the third prize in the competition "Sing for passion" organized by Nokia. . In 2008, won a number of prizes in the Vietnamese Song Contest organized by VTV3: Song of December (song "Cheaper"); The singer performed the effective song in December, Song of the Year (the song "Damage") and the promising young musician. In 2009, she was chosen to sing in the show of singer Francis Cabrel in Hanoi. In 2010, performing at the French Cultural Center L'Espace, created good publicity with 3 consecutive sold-out shows. Besides, Ly also participated in Hue Festival and participated in a cultural tour of Vietnam in Norway. At the 2011 Contribution Award, Le Cat Trong Ly won the Musician of the Year award. On January 20, 2011, she released her self-titled debut album. In the same year, Ly had a tour across Vietnam with the theme Le Cat Trong Ly - Vui Tour with a duration of nearly 2 months and achieved certain successes, in which the show in her hometown of Da Nang was sold out. . After finishing the tour, she decided to spend two years studying in Hanoi. On November 23, 2013, she reappeared in her hometown with the music night Autumn in you. In August 2015 Ly released an album called Dreamer which included three consecutive discs with the themes Vui Tour, Live in Church and Dreamers. The album is like a musical diary collection during 4 years of work from 2011 (Vui Tour) to 2015 (Live in Church), the sound is not processed to preserve the moments shared with the audience.
