Burkhard Glaetzner

Burkhard Glaetzner (born May 29, 1943 in Poznan ) is a German oboe virtuoso and conductor . He is one of the leading oboe players in Germany. Life : Burkhard Glaetzner's grandfather was the literary historian Hermann August Korff He attended from 1958 to 1962, the special school of music Berlin and graduated from 1962 to 1965 oboe studies with Hans Werner Wätzig at the Academy of Music "Hanns Eisler" Berlin . In 1970, together with the composer and trombonist Friedrich Schenker, he founded the group New Music Hanns Eisler and developed the Ensemble I Solisti Instrumentali Leipzig in 1983 from many years of work with various specialists in the baroque interpretation . From 1988 to 2003 Glaetzner was artistic director of the chamber orchestra Neues Bachisches Collegium Musicum .
