Band of Horses
Band of Horses were formed by vocalist and guitarist Ben Bridwell in Seattle in 2004, following the dissolution of the cult favourite Carissa’s Wierd. Their debut Everything All the Time arrived in 2006 on Sub Pop and contained “The Funeral” — a song that defined an era and continues to find new listeners twenty years later. Since then the band has released six studio albums, from the warm and laid-back Cease to Begin to the Grammy-nominated Infinite Arms. Their music lives at the intersection of indie rock, americana and dreamy guitar pop.
Bridwell’s voice — warm, resonant and soaring — carries songs that balance desperation and hope, calm and unrest, with a melodic instinct that makes even the most melancholic moments feel uplifting.
