Biography
The Alban Berg Quartet is a world-renowned Austrian string quartet, founded in Vienna in 1971. Its repertoire encompasses almost all the literature of classical and romantic works as well as works of the twentieth century, such as works by Erich Urbanner and Luciano Berio. The quartet is under contract with EMI. The quartet members broke up in July 2008 after a farewell tour.
