Probate and Estate Administration
Closing an estate, properly and completely.
Overview
Probate is the court process that transfers a person's assets after death — pays creditors, files tax returns, distributes what remains. Florida sets attorney and personal-representative fees by statute (generally three percent of the first million in estate assets, decreasing thereafter), and the proceedings are public record.
Martin Law Firm represents personal representatives, beneficiaries, and creditors in probate matters across Lee and Collier counties. We handle formal administration, summary administration for smaller estates, ancillary administration for out-of-state decedents with Florida property, and trust administration for estates that planned ahead.
