Incident
Patrolman Anthony Brock succumbed to injuries he sustained when he was dragged from a vehicle while attempting to question two men on June 15, 1936. He was found on Bennett Street prior to 4:00 am. His injuries were so severe that other officers were unable to recognize him. After recovering at Emergency Hospital for over two months, he attempted to return to work. However, he was unable to perform his duties and took a leave of absence. He succumbed to his injuries over six months later. The two subjects were arrested but released since Patrolman Brock was unable to identify them. One subject was sentenced to 4-10 years for another assault case. Patrolman Brock had served with the Buffalo Police Department for 9 years and was assigned to Precinct 4.
Survivors
