On Monday, June 8, Jalen Brunson’s New York Knicks fell 115-111 to Victor Wembanyama’s San Antonio Spurs in Game 3 of the 2026 NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden.
With the heartbreaking defeat — the Knicks’ first since April 23 — Mike Brown’s club lost their chance to sweep the series at home in Game 4 at MSG on Wednesday, June 10.
And while that’s a major bummer, this unfortunate development does come with a silver lining.
Ticket prices for Game 4 at the Garden are dropping fast.
To wit: when our team last wrote about how much seats cost on June 8, the lowest price we could find to get in the door was $9,280 including fees on SeatGeek.
Now, just a mere 24 hour later, tickets start at $4,585 including fees at the time of publication.
In the off-chance you don’t have a calculator on hand, that’s a cool $4,695 in savings (!) to see Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, Mikal Bridges, Josh Hart and OG Anunoby play in the NBA Finals at MSG.
Not bad considering you just might witness the Knicks’ first Finals win at the Garden this Millennium.
Yes, the last time the blue and orange came out on top in an NBA Finals game was way back on June 21, 1999 when they beat the San Antonio Spurs 89-81 in Game 3.
Allan Houston scored 34 points, Larry Johnson grabbed five rebounds and Latrell Sprewell dished five assists to lead the way that evening.
“To come in as big-time underdogs and defeat the Twin Towers [the Spurs’ 7-foot stars, Tim Duncan and David Robinson] is a huge feat,” Eric Miller, a 35-year-old equities trader, told The Post the day after the ’99 contest.
Hopefully, come Wednesday, that ancient 20th century win becomes a footnote in the team’s history and the Knicks add a new chapter to their storybook season and historic playoff run.

New York Post social media guru Olivia Silio let us know that there are likely some additional perks to attending Finals games at MSG.
“The first home game of the series, you’ll go home with a souvenir t-shirt, commemorating the game,” she said, based on her experience attending the Eastern Conference Finals.
“Other games have ‘Always Knicks’ towels for fans to keep as well as interactive arena bracelets, used for light shows and hyping up the crowd. Another bonus is you may see your favorite actor, singer or athlete, rooting alongside you.”
Fans hoping to catch Mike Brown’s ballers on the tube can watch all NBA Finals games on ABC and ESPN.
