The Devin Townsend Band

Formed by Devin Townsend to draw a firmer line between Strapping Young Lad and his solo material. Not to be confused with Townsend’s other musical outfit Devin Townsend Project In 2007 Devin split up both this band and Strapping Young Lad.

Devin Garret Townsend (born May 5, 1972) is a Canadian musician, songwriter and record producer. He was the founder, songwriter, vocalist, and guitarist in extreme metal band Strapping Young Lad from 1994 to 2007 and has had an extensive career as a solo artist.
