Western Siberia, Omsk. Russian Federation (2009 - present day) The band members of GROT were born in the most powerful empire in the world - the USSR. On its ruins, in the dust and confusion, disarray and chaos passed their childhood and from there, their first release sprouted its roots: "Nobody but us", the release with which Blednyy (Бледный) from 25/17 helped a lot. In this mini-album other bands have participated, respectively 25/17 and D-Man 55. It was released in May 2009. This EP caused "powerful resonance in the society", they have received recognition among like-minded people, and in same year the band joined the label "Zasada Production" by the invitation of Blednyy. The first work under his govern was released in the winter of 2010, which was mini-album "The Force of the Resistance", with the support of 25/17 and was produced by Kit (Кит) from Ю.Г. (Southern Thugs) and MSK. Side guests were Arni (Арни) and Glaz (Глаз) from Idefiks. Zasada Production rapidly gained the momentum, and only after a few months label have released "Ambush! Spring to All!". At that time, band finally realized that they found their way in music. Thanks to the shouts and critic of their fans, band members felt that their work left an impact, sometimes even dependence to their fans' lives. Guys now knew what they wanted to spend rest of their lives on. All these realizations, internal revelations and cataclysms reflected in their next release "Arbiters" which was released in April of 2010. In the September of the same year band releases remix-album "Personal Universe", on which beatmakers DJ Navvy, Kit (Кит), Ant (Ант), Makson (Максон) took place, as well as three new tracks. D-Man 55, Supets (Супец) and Ant (Ант) all participated during the recording of that EP. In October in Moscow and Saint Petersburg took places Zasada's last concerts "Zasada. Last Autumn". Label subsequently was closed. All bands that were once signed with the label continued in the independent scene. First work outside of the Zasada was collaborative mini-album with close friend and comrade D-Man 55 "Into Tomorrow". Beatmaker once again was Kit, with which GROT very much came close in understanding each other. The only side-guest this time was Supets (Супец). EP was released in Febuary 2011. Soon after the band felt a certain accomplishment, finishing one stage in life and moving to another, hence guys moved onto a full-length release. They really wanted to convey everything that happened to them from the very get-go. After 9 month in October of 2011 they released album "About a Road to the Opposite Direction", inspired by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's book "Citadelle". Guests that collaborated on the release: Olga Leonova (Ольга Леонова), D-Man 55, Valium (Валиум), Nikich (Никич) from "M-Town", MC 1.8 and Nekby from "Trilogy Soldiers". As told by the band members: "album was taken care of like a child". With time passed band began to notice a rather positive trend in the society, this gave them a lot of strength and faith into their endeavor, exactly on that positive note was released their next product, which was developed mostly during breaks as they were touring, EP "More Than Just Alive" was released in April of 2012, and invited guests were once again D-Man 55, Nikich, MC 1.8, Nekby. Autumn the same year, together with comrades from Omsk (D-Man 55, Valium, M-Town), GROT releasing EP-Compilation "Everyday Heroism". In September 2013, light sees their second full-length album "Brother By Default".
