Lieutenant of the Fire Department of the City of New York, who died of an illness from the rescue and recovery at the World Trade Center. The department added the name to its World Trade Center Memorial Wall at the ceremony of 02 September 2026. The announcement named who was added and their rank; it did not state the date of death, so none is recorded here.
Biography
Lieutenant Brown was appointed on October 14, 1978, and served the FDNY with dedication and pride for 24 years until his retirement on September 10, 2002. We thank Lieutenant Brown for his years of courageous service, especially for his efforts during the rescue and recovery at Ground Zero.
