What Happened
Firefighter of the Fire Department of the City of New York, who died of an illness from the rescue and recovery at the World Trade Center. The department added the name to its World Trade Center Memorial Wall at the ceremony of 09 September 2020. He died on 06 November 2019, aged 54.
Biography
Firefighter Andrew S. Gargiulo, age 54, of the Fire Department City of New York – Engine 160, died on November 6, 2019, from illness related to response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. Andrew was a beloved father, friend, and husband. If he wasn’t home spending time with his family, you could find Andrew riding his motorcycle or cooking. Andrew was a selfless individual. He would go out of his way for anybody that asked for help. On 9/11, that selflessness he portrayed saved the lives of many.
