Incident
Deputy Sheriff Mark Brown died two days after being involved in a motorcycle crash while responding to a false robbery alarm at a bank.
He was responding with lights and sirens when a car pulled out in front of him on 15th Avenue Northeast near Northeast 177th Street in Shoreline. Deputy Brown was unable to stop in time and collided with the back of the vehicle. He suffered head and internal injuries and was put on life support for two days until succumbing to his injuries.
Deputy Brown had served with the King County Sheriff's Office for ten years. His brother also served in law enforcement and was a detective with the agency.

He is survived by his wife and two children.
