Biography
Clint Gibson joined the Liberty Lake Police Department and was promoted to patrol sergeant in 2007. He was a firearms instructor, emergency vehicle operations instructor, defensive tactics instructor, and a member of the regional Special Response Team. He received the Chief's Award three times and earned numerous commendations throughout his career. He brought the department's bike patrol program to life and championed a core value-based approach to policing. He and Erin were high school sweethearts, married nearly 20 years, with four children. In his final years the accumulated weight of the job, compounded by an incident he could not let go despite being cleared of wrongdoing, led him to alcohol and eventually cost him his marriage. He was found deceased in his personal vehicle on April 25, 2014. He was 41 years old.
