Incident
Inspector Robert Rossier succumbed to injuries sustained the previous day when he was involved in a motorcycle crash on Putney Road in Dummerston.
As Inspector Rossier was driving south, another vehicle cut him off. He skidded on the wet pavement and was thrown off his motorcycle. Inspector Rossier was transported to Memorial Hospital, where he suffered a fractured skull.
Inspector Rossier had served with the Vermont Highway Patrol for three months.

He was survived by his wife.
