Biography

Eric was the beloved son of Steve and Anne Gonzales who would text or call his Mom daily. A fun-loving person, people were drawn to him. He made each person he spoke to feel as though they were the most important person in the room. He also made his Mom feel like she was the best cook in the world, no matter what she made, he enjoyed it and told everyone she was a great cook. Eric’s beautiful smile and free hugs for everyone he encountered are deeply missed. The day Eric was commissioned as a Fort Worth Police Officer was an incredibly proud day for him. He chose this career so he could become a servant to those who needed it most. An animal lover, his babies were his Husky Nala and his boxer Daisy. Eric loved being outdoors – a carry-over from fishing and camping – as a child, watching movies and playing video games with his nephew and cousin. Each year, Eric and his brother could be found watching the Dallas Cowboys and joining fantasy football leagues together even though his brother was a Minnesota Vikings fan. His presence filled those around him with love and joy, he will never be forgotten.
