Officer Marvin Wills was shot and killed with his gun while working an off-duty security job at the 6400 block of Waverly Way around 11:00 p.m.

The officer attempted to arrest an unknown suspect when the suspect beat him, and his gun was taken away. The suspect then shot Officer Wills four times, killing him.

The case was never solved, and no suspects were ever identified.

Officer Wills had served with the Fort Worth Police Department for five years.

He was survived by his wife and two children.
