The doctor had held a grudge against Officer Glasgow as the result of the officer charging him with murder, which resulted from an illegally performed abortion.
The suspect who shot Officer Glasgow was sentenced to 5 years in prison. The doctor was sentenced to life in prison but the sentence was later overturned.
Officer Glasgow had served with the Hillsboro Police Department for 3 years.
I worked for Hillsboro Police Department for 25 yrs and Hill County for 11 after that. I just recently discovered your story. I am ashamed to say, that we say that we will never forget, but apparently we do. On this day, May 1, 2024, I along with a few others have researched your story, and plan on bringing you back into our memories. I promise you, I will never forget and I will try to ensure that nobody does. Thank you for your sacrifice.
It is with a humbled heart that I try to live up to that, which you have given so much. God Bless you my Friend, My Hero.
