Incident
Officer Randy Fletcher was killed after being struck by a vehicle operated by an intoxicated driver on the North Freeway in Fort Worth. Shortly after midnight, Officer Fletcher was helping a truck driver place flares around his disabled truck when his patrol car was hit. The force of impact pinned him between his patrol vehicle and the disabled truck. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. Officer Fletcher had served with the Fort Worth Police Department for over three years.

He was survived by his daughter, parents, sister, and fiancée.
