Incident
Policeman James Flippo was shot and killed with his own weapon after a 30-year-old prisoner he was lodging for street fighting attacked him and took his firearm. He succumbed to his wounds the following day.
On October 25, 1936, the suspect was convicted of second degree murder and sentenced to 20 years in prison.
