Incident
Narcotics Officer Donnie Washington was killed in a single-vehicle crash in the 3500 block of Broad River Road while on duty as an undercover narcotics officer at about 4:45 am.
His vehicle left the roadway and collided with two vehicles parked in a driveway.
Officer Washington had served with the Richland County Sheriff's Department for two years and had served in law enforcement for a total of nine years.
Survivors
He is survived by an infant son.
