Incident
Agent Miguel Gomez-Guilfu was struck and killed by a drunk driver while conducting a traffic stop near Exit 18, on Expressway 53, in Naguabo, Puerto Rico, at approximately 8:00 pm.
He was talking with the driver of the vehicle he had stopped when he was struck by the drunk driver. The man was arrested and charged with DUI.
Agent Gomez-Guilfu had served with the Puerto Rico Police Department for five years and was assigned to the Humacao Regional Headquarters.

He is survived by his two young sons.
