Incident
Patrolman Orrie Murray was killed in an accident on Bigelow Boulevard near Kirkpatrick Street when an automobile crossed the center line and struck his motorcycle head-on. Patrolman Murray was transported to Mercy Hospital where he died as result of his injuries. He had been involved in another motorcycle accident earlier in the morning, but was uninjured. Patrolman Murray was a U.S. Army veteran of the Spanish-American War. He was buried in the South Side Cemetery.
